A hundred and fifteen grand makes a pretty good living . You can have a pretty good year on that income.
But that's not the point.
This is what our federal government is spending every second of every hour of every day, nonstop for the next fiscal year. This doesn't even account for state and local governments.
Lets break it down further. The Federal government is spending $11,400 in the fiscal year for every man, woman and child living in America. Are you seeing $11,400 in services, in benefits? Or if you're a family of 4, $45,600?
We pay to service debt and fight wars, because the whole facade has been financed for the last 50 years. And its because there isn't a fucking dime's worth of difference between the two parties pulling the strings. Its a spending race, one party admits it, the other doesn't and they both race to the bottom.
The Democrats seem to love spending for spending sake, and the Republicans claim they don't like spending, and then spend like drunken democrats.
Does anyone see anything wrong with the American political process?

Lobbyists.
$115,000,
or a fraction of a cent per a second per a person. The government is not a monolithic entitity - sure, it may spend a lot per a second in comparison to a single person, but it's stupid to measure things like that. The government is the arm of society. It would be difficult to craft a government that didn't spend an amount per a second that seemed ridiculous in comparison to a single person.
I've talked about this before. This kind of statistic is meaningless. 115,000? It's bad because it's a big number! Don't compare it or anything and try to give it meaning! There's something wrong with stuff!
Retarded.
