So clearly they did not say the name was racist. Only racists would say that.

What say you, racists? Yes I am talking to you.

I moved it to general politics. I personally find the term offensive and cringe when people use it.

Now that computers constantly monitor the timing in our cars, there's one less reason to use the term in a sentence.

Unless the discussion is technical in nature.

The APA constantly twists itself into knots trying to come up with 'less offensive' terms.

Manic Depression became Bipolar Disorder became Bipolar Depression...because 'disorder' was deemed to present negative connotations.

Ironically, the number one misdiagnosis for BPD is depression.

    Similarly, Addiction is now Dependence.

I won't even start on pronouns, because I don't know which ones apply anymore.

If someone is they/them, do they pay income taxes twice?

No, why is it so hard for people to respect others? I just don’t get it. “It neither picks my picket nor breaks my leg” to honor people and how they wished to be referenced. If terms helps to remove stigma, what harm is done?

You and I will never agree on the issue of men competing against women in scholastic sports.

It does indeed 'pick the pocket' of young women when they miss out on scholarships because they are losing to men who demand to be 'referred to' as women.
