Good for you. I'm big on public civility. It used to be taken for granted. It was termed, is termed, the public square. Now we have a digital public square but civility isn't observed there because people are able to hide in their anonymity and too many haven't the character to remain civil if they can be the pigs they prefer to be. So the EU has decided its digital public square will have some rules in this area. We should do the same.

Show me where in the Constitution OR the EU 'constitution' where EXACTLY it says that the government has the mandate to determine which law-abiding customers, privately-run corporations/businesses can allow to use their service that does not promote violence or fraud?
That is the ONLY answer I am interested in.
The EXACT part of said constitution that gives the government that mandate.
And since - I assume - you can present no such 'part'?
This conversation is done.
Good day.

I support government's staying out of the private sector.
And not allowing governments to censor the private sector.
So long as the person/company in question is not promoting violence and/or fraud.
Whereas you are for the reverse - clearly.
That is weak and pathetic.
Now we are done.
Good day.
Hmmm.. I think I see your problem. A corporation is only law abiding as long as they abide by the law. A country has a duty to protect its citizens. If a country decides that certain acts are threats to their citizens and passes a law making it illegal to do those act then when a corporation does those things they are no longer law abiding.
Do you think a company should be allowed to sell children's cough syrup with lead in it?
Do you think a company can lie about the product they are selling or does the government have a duty to protect its citizens?
By the way, the part of the US Constitution that gives the government the power to regulate commerce between states is the commerce clause, Art 1 section 8 clause 3. Unless Musk is only creating and selling Twitter in Washington state he is subject to the commerce clause and Congress can regulate what he does.
