Yes it does...specifically, growing the population is the benefit of having immigrants. That's why they're a good thing.

If there were no immigrants, then there wouldn't be enough workers to provide for the pensioners and retirees in the UK.

China is going to run into this problem in the next 5-10 years because of their stupid one male child policy; it's a demographic time bomb that could be solved through immigration, except that no one wants to move to China.
