In short, if America, as we have known it , goes down the gurgler, then so do we - about 2 seconds later.

Anyway, what has been puzzling me - (and stressing me out) - is why the Democrats were not absolutely wiped out by the so-called "Red Tidal Wave" that many US pundits were predicting for the recent mid-terms? I thought that would definitely be what happened in those elections as well. Basically because the Biden administration has been the most incompetent, bat-shit crazy and destructive US government in the entire political history of the republic. (And it managed to achieve this status in only 22 months !)

I don't understand why they were given a total shellacking in the mid-terms. I cannot work it out.

Can someone who is not an extremist political nut-job please tell me why this didn't happen ?

Easy to understand, “because the Biden administration has NOT been the most incompetent, bat-shit crazy and destructive US government in the entire political history of the republic,” quite the contrary, the election proved it

Most of this has to do with the metrics many pundants were using to justify their prognostications.

Pollsters have been polling for what they call a generic R v D favorability. And this past cycle it was going against the norm and saying that the favorability had swung from the usual D to R.

The only problem is that this poll has NEVER signaled anything in terms of actual elections. NEVER.

I think D's like it so much because it almost always favors them.

As always what matters is WHO the candidate is, whether or not they are incumbent and any accumulated dirt that can be found/manufactured about them.

Walker in GA and OZ (not an AUS) were weak candidates.

And as for NV and AZ, well, those were most likely 2020'ed.

And over all, the GOP would have done better to follow the Virginia model that Youngkin used. Oh well.

But it could be worse. Biden will continue to go down with the economic ship as the next two years will be horrible.

The election most decidedly did not prove Brandon isnt the worst president. Time will do that. What we know is things have gotten much shittier under this imbecile elected by morons. Brandon is a dolt. He definitely isnt making the decisions and I doubt he even knows what fucking year it is without a cue card.

Thank God you can't vote here. I just told you in three words why Republicans lost. You are too fucking stupid to see that's the truth. Apparently, so is the rest of the party. Of course you are mainly a drive by troll, so your long winded and idiotic opinions mean nothing.

Nope. Your belief in the red wave was due to pollsters that now serve the GOP. Did you really think they didn't poll individual races? LOL at you.

    You're saying it happens frequently.

I say that still doesn't make it right.

I say if somebody lies relentlessly on a keyboard about who they are or what they actually believe, I have to wonder if anything they write is honest and truthful.

Bad trolling is also just bad form on the internet. Truly clever and entertaining trolls are rare

Perhaps you should learn the meaning of certain English words. Your post is full of bullshit. That's putting it kindly. You claim that the generic ballot didn't tell the story, while completely ignoring the fact that every race was polled. Then you toss in your nutty conspiracy theories. Dude, you haven't got a clue. You have zero critical thinking ability. You are spoonfed bullshit, and you can't wait for your next serving.
