Default Pence defends Trump stealing top secret US documents

Former US vice-president Mike Pence says he hopes federal prosecutors “give careful consideration before they take any additional steps” in investigating Donald Trump’s role in inciting the rioters who staged the January 6 Capitol attack and tried to hang him.

Pence made those remarks Sunday in an interview with the host of NBC’s Meet the Press, Chuck Todd, in which he also said that the FBI “sent the wrong message” with its search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in August to retake government secrets that were stored there without authorization.

But, when asked on Sunday if he thinks Trump committed a crime in connection with the Capitol attack, Pence replied: “I don’t know if it is criminal to listen to bad advice from lawyers” who were consulting the president on efforts to sow distrust about his loss to Biden.

Saw that interview, Pence did the best he could at every moment to make sure he didn’t say Trump was guilty of anything, January 6th wasn’t Trump’s fault, but bad advisories, same with Trump doing his best to stop the constitutional transfer of power. It was funny cause every when Pence got asked a difficult question he immediately turned to the predictable talking points he memorized, the quick inserting the love of police being a good example

Pretty obvious Pence his doing his best to run for President without insulting the Trump loving base

Pence has always reminded me of one of those fat white grubs you sometimes flip up in your garden. He twists and turns and wriggles and writhes in order to avoid the light.

Pence is already anathema to Trumpys. He has no avenue. He thinks when it all sorts out, politics will go back to where it was. Trumpys are in a cult that Pence is not allowed in.

NBC, for one, seems to be of the same mind and is now featuring Pence stories and showing him in a positive light.

Nah, it is a real news source, Pence released his book covering his role on January 6th so it is a news story, NBC covered it, certainly won’t be shown on Fox
