In short, polar bears are doing perfectly well and, contrary to the doomsday propaganda fed to us by governments, corporate media, and the IPCC, global warming is not killing them. In fact, polar bear populations are healthy, and Arctic sea ice is not melting away.

I think they were worldwide climatic phenomena but people weren't as worldwide in those days....or, if they were, they didn't know how to write. Most Native American cultures, like most nomadic cultures, had little to no writing skills to document their history over generations.
