(And this has nothing to do with Keystone which was meant to pump Alberta tar sands oil down to ports to be exported and sold elsewhere. That oil wasn't intended for the US and won't see the US)

But by the same token if the Middle East and associated folks (including Russia) want America controlled by the Right again this is the best possible time to do this. It will definitely aid the GOP in retaking the legislature.

This might actually work to Russia's goals given the GOP's current preference for Russian autocrats, but I don't think it will be great for most of the other OPEC+ members.

Driving by the gas station the other day made me glad I went EV.
Pretty much what this is about, although U.S companies are no better.

Don't you find it cute that those who reference the XL pipeline that went nowhere under trump, don't know the first thing about it?

It is worth noting that the Houthi a few days ago made renewed threats on Saudi and UAE oil facilities.
This illegal illegitimate regime that runs America is at fault...not me.... they do not represent me and I have long objected to their crimes against humanity.

Everyone here knows Lurch is mentally disturbed. We are praying medical science can help but I fear his case is too severe for help.

    These threads always sound celebratory.

Let me guess: they never would have done this if Trump was President!

And I hate to spoil the celebration - but there is already too much supply, and this won't kick in until post midterm, anyway.

Can you imagine if we actually transitioned from fossil fuels eventually?

We wouldn't have to worry about any of this.

What gives you the impression that the Texas oil refineries are American companies?

Natural gas prices here in Washington are in the process of being raised about 25% by Jan, as West Coast natural gas storage for winter is down 15% from where it should be with only one month to go in injection season.

Energy prices are exploding everywhere, exactly what the Revolution has been working towards.

    trump?

The Trump administration sold oil from the U.S. strategic reserves to China's largest oil producer in 2017, according to government data reviewed by Axios.
Why it matters: Republicans in Congress are demanding investigations into the Biden administration's recent release of oil to a China-owned firm with which the president's son Hunter once had business dealings.

    • Former President Trump and conservative media personalities have also criticized the sale of 950,000 barrels of strategic petroleum reserves to Unipec, a subsidiary of China's state-owned Sinopec.
    • But documents show that, like the current administration, the Trump administration also sold to the highest competitive, non-sanctioned bidders, including Chinese companies, as is required by law.
