I wish I could remember who it was that I recently heard say that it is now in DC impossible to get a fair jury in matters regarding the revolution.

That's because Republicans live with the rich in Virginia and Maryland. DC, for those who have been there, is mostly a shithole. Commuting by metro is easy and relatively cheap.

A few years ago when the Democrats were making noise about making DC a state, the better solution was to return all the DC residential areas to Maryland (mostly) and Virginia. Make DC smaller.

FWIW, Trump caused Virginia to turn bluer in Presidential votes, but remain red for everything else.
