Hmm.. interesting how the indictment includes 15 counts and only 4 of them are for filing a false tax return. The other 11 also indict Trump Corporation for crimes from tax fraud to falsifying business documents to conspiracy to commit fraud.

The crimes as charged was this:

But I am curious why Weisselberg pleaded guilty to 15 crimes if he was only indicted for lying on his personal tax return.
NEW YORK — Allen Weisselberg, who for decades was one of Donald Trump's most trusted and loyal employees as chief financial officer of the Trump family business, pleaded guilty on Thursday to 15 counts ranging from grand larceny to tax fraud to falsifying business records

It isn't to prevent him from running for office then.' a convicted felon can run for president in the United States of America. The U.S. Constitution does not prevent a felon from running for the office of the President. What becomes interesting is whether they are able to handle the political fallout of running from or after spending time in prison, although this has become seemingly less of an issue in modern times.
There are very limited requirements when running for Presidential election, which are listed below:
The candidate contesting for the position must be a natural-born citizen of the United States of America.
The candidate must be 35 years or older.
The candidate should be a US resident for 14 years.'
Can a candidate run his campaign from jail ?

There is nothing that says he can't pardon himself for Federal crimes. But that doesn't protect him from state crimes or civil lawsuits. For instance, he could pardon himself for tax fraud but the IRS could still file a civil lawsuit for back taxes and he can't pardon himself from having to pay back taxes if a court rules he owes them

And how will the international community react to America being led by a convicted and jailed felon ? It would definitely be a step down from having to liaise with a mobster.
( Are you getting the drift of how much damage the mango moron has done to the country to date ? )

Here's a legal battle Trump lost:
Donald J. Trump Pays Court-Ordered $2 Million For Illegally Using Trump Foundation Funds*
Trump Ordered to Pay Eight Separate Charities $250,000 Each
Remaining $1.8 Million in Trump Foundation Bank Account Disbursed Among Charities
NEW YORK – New York Attorney General Letitia James today released the following statement after Donald J. Trump was forced to pay more than $2 million in court-ordered damages to eight different charities for illegally misusing charitable funds at the Trump Foundation for political purposes:
“Not only has the Trump Foundation shut down for its misconduct, but the president has been forced to pay $2 million for misusing charitable funds for his own political gain. Charities are not a means to an end, which is why these damages speak to the president’s abuse of power and represent a victory for not-for-profits that follow the law.
Judge Juan M. Merchan wrote that Trump “appears to take the position that his situation and this case are unique and that the pre-trial publicity will never subside. However, this view does not align with reality.”
Okay, PostMortemPolyp.
Answer me 'yes' or 'no'.
Trump said: "If you're the president of the United States you can declassify just by saying: ‘It’s declassified.' Even by thinking about it," he added.
Do you believe Trump can 'declassify' classified docs by just 'thinking about them'?
It's a pretty straightforward question which requires a simple 'yes' or 'no' answer. Can you handle that, PostMortemPolyp?
Or do you realize if you say 'no', you'll be defying your Orange Jesus and if you say 'yes', you'll look like as big of a fool as your Orange Jesus.
I'm betting you don't have the balls to answer the question at all. So, which is it, PostMortemPolyp?
