Putin has had his hands tied without a declared war footing. That looks to be changing.

Also, my position from the outset has been the need for a Ukrainian capitulation in order to save hundreds of thousands of lives, millions of people displaced and many cities reduced to ash. Those who wanted a fight must bear the consequences- and it's not over while NATO continues to wallow in the blood of Ukrainians.

Sure, just turn the entire country over to Russia, as well as any others that they desire.

The Ukrainians did not want a fight.

The naked aggression by the Russians who invaded their sovereign nation was met by braver and better led heroes who are fighting for a cause, their Motherland.

    Putin, get out of Ukraine.

Posters predictions? who cares. Hot Mic Obama (the 80's want their foreign policy back) underestimated Putin, and the Crimea fell in just days. And for 8 years, the Ukrainian military has failed to take it back.

Putin said? ... war propaganda, saber rattling, ... it's to be expected.

Biden publicly predicted the invasion days before it happened and did nothing. Why?

This is analogous to a sportscaster saying 'if our team scores more goals, we will win!'.

Do you predict the Crimea will be returned to Ukraine? ... and South Ossetia and Abkhazia will be returned to Georgia?
Your attempt to proclaim that everybody knew last February 24th that Putin was going to have an extremely difficult time defeating Ukraine and that it was going to be a long bloody slog for him doesn't pass the laugh test, and is defied and contradicted by the very words your MAGA buddies were writing on this board seven months ago.

The Russians only wanted the ELECTED Ukrainian government. If they'd have wanted the country they'd have occupied it while it still had one.

I can imagine you grappling with the concept.

If it's legitimate to the voters and it's accepted by the Russians- and others- then it's legitimate. Your bleating about it is meaningless.

How or why Ukraine chooses to run their government is none of Russia's concern. You are just making terrible excuses.

For just a little special military operation? You’d think Russia was being invaded.

This naked aggression, the invasion of the sovereign nation of Ukraine, will not stand.

When a powerful country invades your nation, you can drop to your knees in surrender and submission and beg your conquerers for mercy.

Your awareness of world history is non-existent if you thought people of the East Slavic nations would simply allow invaders to take their territory and sovereignty from them. You are learning now, in real time, the same painful lesson that German Nazis, Napoleonic armies, and Swedish invaders learned

You are being ridiculous. Russia supported Ukraine financially and Ukrainians chose a pro-Russian president. Wtf are you doing in this thread apart from looking foolish ?

That was next on the NATO agenda. Now it isn't.
