Well...my Hawkeyes looked like SHIT today.

    https://www.espn.com/college-footbal...meId/401405062

    A 7-3 win...against...South Dakota?!?

And 4 of those points were on safeties.

Looks like last year, all over again.
    Great defense.
    Hideous offense.

    The rest of my teams?

    Buffalo got thumped by Maryland.
I am afraid the last few years of Buffalo being good are over...for now, at least.

    SMU destroyed North Texas.
Both are fav teams of mine.
    So...mixed result there.

    BYU thumped South Florida.
    Nice.

    And Nevada thumped Texas State.
    Good result.

    Sooo...my teams were 4-2.
And all - except Buffalo - seem capable of making a bowl this season (which is my goal).

    No matter what?
It's WONDERFUL for NCAA football to be back!

My Crimson Tide did what I expected and manhandled Utah State.

Utah State had only 7 first downs, 136 yards of total offense and only 1 play for more than 10 yards. The defense is a brick wall!

Georgia kicked ass! Florida surprisingly won too.

If most of them do - I am fairly pleased.
I’m might try to go to the OSU/Iowa game but I’m so pissed of at ticket master and their criminal “Dynamic Pricing” that I might not go. I’m not going to pay $350 for nose bleed seats so ticket master and the big 10 can bleed fans dry.

I’m just so disgusted at what is being done for tickets to live events . Good seats for any entertainment venue will only be available to the 1% who don’t have a problem dropping $1,000 to watch a football game.

I’ve been buying tickets for the Big 10 Championship game since it started and had been able to promote my seats several times due to being an annual purchaser. That’s out the window and I didn’t get my annual notification for my option to buy tickets because all tickets not bought by the Big 10 are going to be sold via Ticket Masters Dynamic Purchasing algorithm.

I’m just disgusted at the greed.

Go Hawks. I lived in Davenport for 7 years and currently live on n the Columbus Ohio region where I have lived most my life. So OSU is my #1 college team but the Hawkeyes are #2.

I doubt I go to the game due to ticket master screwing everyone and everything in sight but if I do I’m going as a cross dresser. I’ll wear an OSU jersey and a Hawkeye hat!

Ticketmaster has been scalping us for several years. And it has gotten worse and worse.

Well it’s nice to see that SEC bias is alive and well at ESPN.

OSU defeats a top notch #5 ranked Notre Dame team and dominated them defensively, particularly in the second half to win by 11 points.

So of course ESPN dropped them to #3 despite winning the toughest match up of the week and despite Alabama playing Sister Mary’s school for guadraplegics and Georgia playing the Oregon Duds.

It just has to make one roll their eyes. LOL

Thanks. It was a hell of a game. Ryan Day had us all confused. It became obvious in the second quarter ND couldn’t stop our running game and Day kept throwing the ball ineffectively. By the third quarter half the State of Ohio was screaming “Run the damn ball” and finally he did and we purely dominated after that.

Well go and try and get a ticket for an Alabama game or the SEC Championship game and you will be appalled by Ticket Masters Dynamic pricing algorithm. You will select a $200 ticket for a nose bleed seat and when you go to check out to pay for the ticket don’t be surprised that the fee will be $500.

Yeah, they add the tax, shipping and handling, college fund fee, substitution fee, my nuts itch fee, and THEN they start adding bigger charges.

Most of the preseason polls have the same top end.

    1) Alabama
    2) Ohio State
    3) Georgia
    4) Clemson
    5) Notre Dame

Notre Dame will drop soon, since they play Ohio State in the first game.

Alabama will be better this year. Same top offense, but I am hearing the defense will be a monster.
In other words, the poll of the schools that pay or promise to pay their players the most

Sabin was hysterical when he said all the current pay to play "reforms" were bad cause they hurt competition, no Nick, they only mean other schools can now outspend Alabama, and even do it legally, the Mercedes alone ain't going to do it anymore

But to help those out west feel better, let me expand it.

    6) Texas A&M
    7) Utah
    8) Michigan
    9) Oklahoma
    10) Baylor
    11) Oregon
    12) Oklahoma State
    13) North Carolina
    14) USC

Hopefully this soothes those who claim a geographic bias.
Well, if Texas should go to Alabama and win their first game, they become TOP 10 and a MOVIE will be made!

    Probably not! Carry on!

    Too funny!

Nick Saban has made some good points about the NIL. But if you prefer to spout bullshit, I have no problem with it.

Alabama has spent money of football, that is true. Upgrading facilities etc. But not paying players. And none got a Mercedes from the school or boosters.

Your constant whining about college football is wearing thin.

Bama goes to Texas this Saturday. The best Texas can hope for is to not get blown out. But the players and fans chanting "We Want Bama" is not going to help.
