McRocket does have a valid point. Parties are not stagnant and they DO change. Neither the Democrats nor Republicans are the same parties they were, say in Lincoln’s time. They have pretty much reversed roles.

Neither party is the same party as they were 20-30 years ago. It seems that we, as a country, have lost our direction. For the time being, anyway. It seemed the same way in the late 60s, as well.

All things are temporary. I think we’ll recover in time. But another Trump presidency will take us farther into the sewer. That’s the LAST thing we need.

Exactly. They reversed roles. Conservatives become Republicans and Liberals become Democrats.

And yes Trump ruined the GOP. Sure they can recover but I don't see that happening in a long time.
