In this case it sounds like Trump has been in violation of the National Archives Records statute conviction of which is conviction of a felonious offense and would prohibit him from running for President. Put a smiley on that.

    Default Nixon resigns

n an evening televised address on August 8, 1974, President Richard M. Nixon announces his intention to become the first president in American history to resign. With impeachment proceedings underway against him for his involvement in the Watergate affair, Nixon was finally bowing to pressure from the public and Congress to leave the White House.

What is the DoJ's next step?

Think about that. What if the DoJ fails to charge Trump with something, anything? That pretty much says the Progressive Left and the radical Leftists in Joke's administration just assfucked themselves in November and 2024.
If they charge Trump with something, what would it be? Could they make a convincing case? Outside the True Believers on the Left, the rest of the public doesn't give a shit, thinks there's nothing there, or supports Trump. Again, it's an uphill battle for the Left and they better damn well have an airtight case.

What I personally see is this is a taste of some Third-World Junta-like dictator's move to take out the opposition just before an election. What's next, putting Trump on house arrest? It used to be our Presidents and leaders in Congress condemned nations that acted like that. Now, they're the ones doing it...
We will see… but don’t expect anything before November. We will eventually find out why the FBI got this warrant and what info it was based on, Im waiting to pass judgment, but doing this without a sold basis would be stupid and Merck Garland is not stupid.

The idea the FBI launched a raid on a former president would have been approved and monitored at the highest level of the Justice Department; hard to even imagine how high the bar of probable cause must've been for the Bureau to initiate such a politically sensitive search.

Merrick Garland is stupid. Aside from that, the FBI had to give Trump--or whoever was present--a copy of that warrant so we'll know what was on it in, my guess, less than 72 hours. I also don't buy they had to have a solid basis for getting it. The radical Left often does incredibly stupid stuff because of their myopic belief they can do no wrong and are always justified.

The FBI didn't swoop in and scoop up all of the Hildabeast's illegal e-mail servers in her home did they? They did nothing when she deleted over 31,000 e-mails. The FBI didn't raid the Clinton's home after they looted the White House on leaving. Instead, they were allowed to give the stuff back and pay a $92,000 bill (aka fine) for taking it.

So, you are trying to compare apples to space shuttles.

There is no side. A judge ruled that there was probable cause to believe evidence of a crime was at the location. Because there IS evidence of a crime. Destroying public records. Bye, bye.

Nothing even closely compares to a former President stealing documents from the White House for who knows what purpose. Then on top of that the documented destruction of many documents. Now the real kicker sweetie, if Donald is convicted of these crimes he would be barred from ever holding public office again

    Hardly.

I could imagine this from the Joke administration at this point:

In the next few weeks, the DoJ keeps saying it's reviewing what it took from Trump but announces nothing. Then in late September to mid-October the DoJ announces raids on half-a-dozen Republican candidates in key races in several states claiming the documents they have show (fill in the blank here with vague charges) they had to raid these people's homes, campaign offices, etc.
The MSM and Democrats start shouting about how those Republicans were involved in (whatever crime they want to claim) and shouldn't be elected.

At the same time, the Jan 6 committee leaks all sorts of stuff they think will damage various Republican races for office.

    It isn't that farfetched...
