    Default First sedition indictment of a January 6th rioter.

    First sedition indictment of a January 6th rioter.

    Excerpted from the Associated Press link,
    Seditious conspiracy: 11 Oath Keepers charged in Jan. 6 riot | AP News
    “... These were the first seditious conspiracy charges levied in connection with the attack on Jan. 6, 2021. ...”.

    Once a single January 6th rioter is convicted for sedition, there's certainly legal grounds to indict Donald Trump. Respectfully, Supposn

    Attempted proof by association. That's a fallacy, dude.

    The rumor apparently continues to circulate. Associated Press recently carried a story of the the U.S. Department of Justice indicting the first 11 of persons they're filing in federal court for the crime of sedition against the United States. Respectfully, Supposn

    There was no electoral college. There Senate does not meet for this purpose. Congress has no authority to choose the electors for any State. There is nothing to overturn. What sedition?

    Not a lawyer, but that may not be true. There has to be a link between the seditionists and Trump.

    His WH lawyers are explaining that to the J6 Committee right now.

    LOL It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. Trump is as nervous as a cat in a roomful of rocking chairs, which indicates guilt.

    PostmodernProphet, (1) Once a single January 6th rioter is convicted for sedition,* we've established the federal court's determination that the besieging of the Capitol Building were seditious crimes;
    (2) There's videos of Trump's speech within which he urged the crowd to go to the Capitol building and to the Senate;
    (3) What's left is to prove Trump knew, or had good reason to know*and believe there were substantial numbers of people in the crowd who were*armed and/or in any manner likely to grievously behave violently. Respectfully, Supposn

    I'm not sure, but I don't think many of their communications with the Toadstool would fall under the attorney-client privilege shield. Hiring an attorney to advocate for you in a lawsuit or indictment is one thing. But you saying "I'd like to burn that building to the ground" and an attorney telling you that that's illegal is probably not protected.

    It's kind of you to talk sensibly to PMP but your seed will fall upon the rocks rather than upon a fertile field. Everything you said is, of course, true. But to the Cult, it's all "fake news" and "hearsay" and "false flag ops" and a "witch hunt."

    Agreed. Not a lawyer, but it seems that as soon as the lawyers become part of the conspiracy, that privilege is no longer valid.
