The separation of church & state is becoming a thing of the past. Particularly with our new radical, theocratic SCOTUS (anyone catch Alito's comments yesterday? Yikes!)
Christianity and Nationalism are both concepts that can be forces for good when practiced at their most positive level. But that's not the case. Christianity in some circles has become toxic, political and intolerant. Nationalism has veered toward xenophobia, arrogance and bigotry.
But with SCOTUS and a growing # of politicians who are no longer hiding their desire for a theocracy, Americans need to start paying attention, and make decisions about what they want the future to look like. We know what theocracies look like - from history, and the present day. For citizens who are non-believers, or simply not in line w/ the beliefs of the rulers, life can be pretty rough in those systems.
If we don't get involved, America is a gonna look a whole lot different in a few years.

You're high. Church has never been further from the Left. It's separation FROM Church for you idiots and there's no phrasing like that anywhere but in the annals of perverts.
You still have the lion's share of the media, Hollywood is a total woke-fest, and you've practically wiped free speech completely out. Oh, and LGTBQ is running amok. You degenerates are doing fine. I'm not sure how long that will last, but you at least have to enjoy it now.
Free speech is cool as long as it jibes with our program.

What Is Christian Nationalism and What Is Its History in the U.S.?
Christian nationalists "believe that Christianity should enjoy a privileged position in the public square," Miller wrote. Such an ideology has been touted by many right-wing supporters of former President Donald Trump and was openly on display during the January 6, 2021, attack against the U.S. Capitol.
While the U.S. has long been a nation where the majority of citizens identify as Christian, the population has always been divided into a wide variety of denominations. The framers of the Constitution were concerned about protecting the population from the imposition of a specific religious ideology, which had led to substantial conflicts throughout Europe over the preceding centuries.

The fact Christian Nationalists want to jam a specific version of Christianity down the throats of all Americans is the main problem. Just like Democrats want to jam gun bans and other bans on Americans, the "Christian" Alt-Right wants to jam their self-serving values upon all Americans.

Which the Republican has successfully turned into a RW activist court. Respect for SCOTUS has dropped in direct correlation with this fact. Better to have a balanced court, IMO.

Confidence in U.S. Supreme Court Sinks to Historic Low
With the U.S. Supreme Court expected to overturn the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision before the end of its 2021-2022 term, Americans' confidence in the court has dropped sharply over the past year and reached a new low in Gallup's nearly 50-year trend. Twenty-five percent of U.S. adults say they have "a great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in the U.S. Supreme Court, down from 36% a year ago and five percentage points lower than the previous low recorded in 2014.
