How long can Trump supporters say, "Nothing to see here..."

They still haven't really learned the expectations game. When you spend weeks declaring that the 1/6 hearings are a nothing burger...and then you have a day like today?
The die hard Trump Bubblers will never give in. They 'know' better than what they are hearing. Everything is blocked out if it doesn't support their belief. They have far too much conditioning to ever back down. Thousands of them already took their belief to the grave in the pandemic. They bet their life on it and lost.
The typical die-hard Trump fan runs on rumors, gossip and peer pressure. It's far more about emotion than fact. If everybody they associate with is also a Trump fan they can't switch sides without turning on all their friends. They are not going to do that.
The propaganda mindset has been conditioned to believe the real news is fake, and the fake news is real. The ego controlled mindset can never admit a mistake.
How could somebody who only associates with other Trump fans change their view? They would a) first have to admit they made a mistake in supporting him (not gonna do that,) and b) they would have to disassociate with all their friends (not gonna do that either.) In for a dime, in for a dollar.
They will take it to the grave just as so many before them already have.
Perhaps there is a sliver lining.
Since they won't want to talk about it, and many of them never had much interest in politics before Trump, it only seems logical that many of them will withdraw from political activism after Trump is in prison.
We have to put Trump in prison. America needs to see that no man is above the law, and the world needs to see that America will not tolerate a criminal in the White House. Politics must take a back seat. We have to move beyond worrying about the implications of charging an ex president with a crime. We already had an ex-governor sent to prison. Time to show once again that the law means something.
We cannot let this go. It's too public.
Confidence in justice and our government is on the line.
