The thread is about Loving being overturned and the experts claiming it could/will happen. If not a single justice has talked about it how is it going to happen?

Edit: Doesn’t there have to be a case brought up to the Supreme Court for them to be able to overturn it? Where is that case coming from?

For starters Loving isn’t being overturned so this is all a mute point but I’m aware of Utah banning interracial marriage back in the day but that got overturned and it’s not coming back

To challenge this a state would have to pass a law banning interracial marriage and try to get it before the SC. That would be political suicide for the state's leaders and make that state a laughing stock.

I brought that up in another post. Like you said, to overturn it there has to be a case brought to them right? Where would this case come from? There’s no way it would move up the food chain right?
