Default Russia's plans are now 'doomed' as Putin 'awakens sleeping giant'

Solidarity with Ukraine by European and Western nations show that Russian plans to win the war are "doomed," according to one military expert.

The news comes as more weapons and supplies are reaching Ukrainian defence forces who are not only holding off Russian advances but now pushing them back. With Vladimir Putin’s forces now seemingly in stagnation in eastern Ukraine, the Kremlin’s dreams of a quick and effective “special operation” are fast becoming a nightmare.

Taking to Twitter to argue why Russian plans are doomed, military expert Nicholas Drummond described some of the reasons military equipment and united support of Ukraine is proving so decisive.

He wrote: “Scholz + Germany in partnership with Macron and France, Johnson and Britain, Biden and America, Morawiecki and Poland, and many others, show there is more that unites us than divides us.

“Such solidarity with Ukraine suggests that Russian plans to subsume it are doomed.”

“Today, Scholz expressing his commitment to Ukraine for as long as it needs Germany’s support is a clear admission that Putin will not be allowed to succeed in Ukraine.

Germany has finally approved the supply of heavy weapons to Ukraine with supply of seven Panzerhaubitze 2000 Howitzer cannons, with France and The Netherlands also providing variants of the Howitzer to Ukraine, giving Kyiv a geographical advantage in defending key cities in the country.

Many took the opportunity to criticize Berlin for its late reaction to helping Ukraine, yet this delay was commended by Mr Drummond who said: “Don’t criticise Germany for being late to the party.

“After 1945, it wanted to become a country known for its economic strength, not its military might.

“Putin has awakened a sleeping giant.”

“Its industry has since set a global standard. It has been a fantastic European partner and deserves international respect.”

“However, Olaf Scholz and his government had barely taken power when Russia invaded Ukraine.

“To his great credit, he realised Germany had to change to meet the threat posed by such aggression.”

Mr Drummond was also highly praising of Britain for its role in supplying Ukraine with much-needed weapons.

He said: “I feel duty-bound to mention Ben Wallace in all this.

“His early decision to send NLAW, Javelin and an enormous quantity of munitions to Ukraine set a great example and was crucial in the early stages of the conflict.

“He has since worked to bind Europe and the USA together.”

Putin is toast, I'm truly amazed that he's lasted so long.

He's in the toaster, hopefully, but he isn't done yet. According to the NYTimes and WAPO the Russians are making gains in the east and Ukraine is losing five hundred soldiers a day.

The fat lady hasn't sung yet, fighting in the cities had slowed after Ukraine inflicted heavy losses on Russian forces. The Russians are reportedly using conscripts to fight in the region due to losing so many regular soldiers.

Not entirely convinced that's true, time will tell.

This is a great indication that you have failed to properly understand the situation.

I think we should send the Ukraine missiles that will land on the Kremlin and tear Moscow a new asshole!

    Turnabout is fair play!

Putin decimates the Ukraine- Bombing and Murdering 100's of thousands of innocent women and children and elderly- Destroying everything standing- The Ukraine retaliates and gives Russia a taste of their own medicine

Meanwhile the Russians just sit there and don't stand up to Putin- their insane criminal autocrat TRUMPOCRAT! FUCK EM'! BOMB THE SHIT OUT OF THEM!

I want to see Moscow in rubble now!

The new American howitzers and rockets out range the Russians and are more accurate. They will be a game changer. When the Russian artillery fires now the Ukrainians can fire back from protected positions. The Ukrainians will slowly destroy the Russian artillery.

Initially, almost everybody overrated the Russian military.

Now I think there's a danger that conventional wisdom will underestimate them.

The Russian military's strength has always been artillery. There is so much of it and they are capable of focusing such tremendous amounts of firepower I am not convinced a few dozen pieces of western artillery is going to change the game for the Ukranians. Once the Russians fortify themselves in Donbass they might be very difficult to drive out.

People are coming from all over the world to fight with the Ukrainians, doubt there are any doing the same with the Russians. It's an old adage, but true nonetheless, that you can win the battle but still lose the war.
