My point is this: They are not the government and therefore have no personal CONSTITUTIONAL duty to do something. However they accepted a job that requires them to do this as part of the job and if they will not do the job for any reason they should be fired. They are also not constitutionally protected for being fired for not doing their job.

OK...but we're still not talking about WHY they chose to not enforce the law in Uvalde that day...that's the question here; why?

Why did they stand there and let those kids die?

Why did they lie and say the door was locked?

Why are they refusing to cooperate with investigations?

Why did they refuse to release any details to the Uvalde City Council?

The answer to all those questions is the same: law enforcement is systemically and structurally bankrupt.
