'Cowards': Uvalde Cops Face America's Wrath Over Bungled Shooting Response

Sure as hell looks like it?!!

Police are facing heavy criticism and being labeled "cowards" for their response to the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, this week.

A total of 19 children, two adults and the alleged shooter Salvador Ramos were killed amid the shooting on Tuesday. Outrage has erupted online and on cable news after it was revealed that local police went inside the building minutes after the gunman entered unchallenged but quickly retreated and took cover. Ramos was killed by border patrol agents more than an hour later.

Texas Department of Public Safety (TDPS) Lieutenant Chris Olivarez told CNN that police did not engage with Ramos further due to concerns that they would have taken fire and officers "could have been shot." The word "cowards" trended on Twitter in reference to the police after news of the delay emerged.

"The Uvalde police were a bunch of gutless cowards who shamed their badges," British TV personality Piers Morgan

There is cause for outrage. But even so, it's most likely that the shooter had already done his work within minutes, and then barricaded himself in that classroom. It's hard to say that going in earlier would have made much difference.

No it is not hard to say.... once the situation had been neutralized all of the kids and parents would have known that the carnage was over, the kids would have gotten out, the trauma would have been over.

This went on and on and on.

Thanks, from our man on the scene in Uvalde.

Blaming the cops may be justified, but the real blame lies on our legislators who think it's perfectly fine for anyone to buy a weapon of mass destruction, no questions asked, and over a thousand rounds of ammunition.

Police are trained to engage the shooter in cases like this even if you are by yourself, you don't wait for backup?!! The little children were asking for help, by texting and calling 911, and you had wounded that might have lived too if it were not for the delayed response by police?!! I personally think there were scared to engage the shooter?!!

It was a mixture of cowardice and racism. The kids were just not white enough or rich enough or speak English enough to be saved. Had this same tragedy occurred in a wealthy area of San Antonio, the cops would have rushed in like they were supposed to have done in Uvalde.

Poor kids... just were born to the wrong parents and didn't have enough cash to avoid being cut to pieces by a military rifle that should never have been on the street.

Republicans are demons. They and only they are responsible for this tragedy. Fuck them and their missing souls.

No, my friend. Kids, still alive were calling 911 from inside the classroom begging the cowardly cops to come in.

It would have made huge difference, the killing of the 19 kids took about an hour. Getting in earlier would have made a gigantic difference. The cops just didn't think getting shot for Hispanic kids was worth it.

Both share blame. The Republicans for jerking off to guns and the cops in Uvalde for letting the kids die and doing nothing.

Yep. Owl Woman just doesn't want to believe the cops could be so evil. I can't blame her. Unfortunately, the cops in Uvalde are that evil.

Oh, yeah, dude. I know the area. You know who wasn't Hispanic? The white bosses who ordered the cops to stand down, while the little kids in the killbox on the other side of the door where the cowardly cops were standing for an hour were living their last hour in terror.

Seriously fuck you if your don't apologize here. I'm so done with fucks like you!

Chief of police is Hispanic too. Unless you think that the almost all Hispanic police force there is racist against its own people you are wayyyyyyyyyyy off track AGAIN.
