Forest Service says it started all of New Mexico's largest wildfire
TAOS, N.M., May 27 (Reuters) - Two blazes that grew into New Mexico's largest ever wildfire were both started by the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), the agency said on Friday, prompting the state's governor to demand the federal government take full responsibility for the disaster.
Forest Service investigators determined the Calf Canyon Fire was caused by a "burn pile" of branches that the agency thought was out but reignited on April 19, the Santa Fe National Forest said in a statement.

All they they do is sell timber to timber harvesters and taxpayers pay for all that shit while the government profits. That could be peoples' land.
The place I hunted for 23 years? Razed to the ground by the timber harvesters. They destroyed all the 100-200 year old oaks just to get to the pines they
were targeting. Wildlife and all that be damned, they don't give a fuck about any of that; It's all about the trees and the money. Fucking nationwide scam for about a century.
I'm not claiming controlled burns aren't a good idea, this thing is bigger than that though.
