    Default Only way left to get gun reform in America is by going after the manufactures;

“Federal ruling could help New York go after gun manufacturers”

“A New York law that could hold the gun industry accountable after their products are used in deadly shootings has been upheld by a federal judge. The law is a way to go after the supply chain of firearms, especially anonymized ghost guns, that pass through the "iron pipeline" from states with meager gun control laws.”

“It could be employed in a civil action brought by a victim of gun violence who can demonstrate they suffered harm from an illegal gun that came from a dealer who regularly and knowingly sells guns to people who turn around and illegally traffic the product.
Another possible plaintiff, legal experts said, could be someone injured in a mass shooting carried out by someone who was influenced by aggressive marketing that enticed the shooter to buy a gun and use it to do violence”

“If gun control won't work, at least take away gun makers' liability protection”
    https://www.stltoday.com/opinion/edi...1a584337f.html

The Sandy Hook liability lawsuit got Remington’s attention, and it wasn’t Congress that bought down Big Tobacco, so America ought to give up on the gutless politicians and go after guns where it hurts, the pocketbook

You can't go after them. The Republican Taliban have shielded them from any liability. We just need to vote in Democrats.

If a person accidentally chops off his/her finger while cooking, is the kitchen-knife maker liable?

If a drunk driver kills a person, is the car-maker or the person who served the driver alcohol liable?

This thread is nonsense. The responsibility is on the perpetrator.

No- but the manufacturer of a knife intended to chop off fingers would be.

Now go eat your lunch with your pistol and fork.

Not true, parents at Sandy Hook just got $74 million out of Remington, they have Alex Jones on the ropes, and the case in New York is a beginning, it can be done, worked against Big Tobacco

And the Democrats aren’t much better, again, more worried about getting re-elected than challenging the gun lobby

Perhaps, but if negligence can be proven, which it was with Sandy Hook, it can be done, that gun dealer in Carolina who sells guns to shadow dealers for export North, or the private sale, can be held responsible

Tax means legislative action, aka politics, and gun reform is never coming via politicians, they don’t have the guts

I had no idea. I thought the republicans had shielded all the gun manufacturers from any liability or loss due to lawsuit's.

HOW ABOUT REALIZING THAT CRIMINALS ARE WHO KILL PEOPLE ,NOT INANIMATE OBJECTS, LIKE GUNS, DUMBASS.

AND DUNCE-O-CRAT "SOFT ON CRIME" BULLSHIT HAS A LOT TO DO WITH IT.

JUST LIKE DRUNK DRIVER'S ARE AT FAULT FOR THEIR ACTIONS, NOT AUTO MANUFACTURERS, EINSTEIN.

    THAT IS ON TOPIC.
