The gun lobby will instruct it's congressional flunkies to block any bill they deem threatening to their bottom line.
Gun Control laws in certain states will make some improvements, but I seriously doubt if they can stop any "iron pipelines".
I remember the Parkland kids screaming that they were going to target the politicians who enable the aforementioned. I only wish that sentiment was still holding across the 50 states.
