It certainly goes against all conservative principles about small government and abridging individual rights, but dictating what is to be taught, for example, is done in every state. School curricula does not dictate beliefs (and seldom actually gets taught in practice).

This is much like gay marriage. Even if I "don't believe" in it, it is still a legal reality and folks that participate in such a marriage do not hurt me by doing so.

Since homosexual behavior does not produce any offspring, the very meaning of a 'gay marriage' is quite meaningless. It's political correctness. You are also not addressing the OP questions or format. You have not described any sex outside of male or female, or described any sex chromosome other than X or Y.

So, is this a legal reality? Yes, you can even get driver licenses in most state that list your gender as "X"...
