What do you think the special session to assist with the homeowner's insurance rate problem will yield today? They really need to change some laws on this. Lots of roofing scams here.

I agree they need to change laws, but Tallahassee is only going to pass giveaways to Insurance Companies that MIGHT result in short term rate decreases, until the Insurance Companies let enough time pass until they can take advantage of the laws.

One thing I heard they are going to do is let insurance companies prorate the value of a roof when they have to fix it..... Thats going to lead to a lot of unrepaired roofs after the next hurricane. A lot of foreclosures for people who cant pay $30,000 for the new roof. And a lot of money in the bank for Insurance Companies.

Crime and border always poll pretty decent, especially when the stereotypes are exaggerated, I don’t think a murder in NYC, a city of over eight million people, deserves nationwide attention like the right wing media would give it, there’s murders everywhere, small and big locales, but hey don’t get the coverage

I canceled my homeowners policy with them last year.

I had two small claims in 45 years, both were weather related, the first was when hailstones damaged the roof. They paid for both but classified the last as non-weathered related even though the last was an ice storm that broke a tree limb that fell and damaged the electrical entrance to my house.

They used this to raise my premiums.

With no claims, I would cancel after seeing this mierda.

If this bares out to be true, it's a dumb idea IMHO. I never bought into this BS that at 5 years old you can assess the emotional/mental sexual identity beyond the physical reality of a 5 year old. I see it as the adults pushing their personal mindsets, incorrect assessments and opinions on the kid. If a child is going to grow up to be gay (or a variation of such) that will become evident.

Put it this way; if having grade school readers push the 1950's gender role is wrong (girls wear skirts, only do "woman's work"), then pushing a this is just as wrong.

I do think the insurance companies have taken a big hit though. Using the loophole of 25% wind damage means they have to fully replace even a 30 year old roof. Insurance companies can't buy new roofs for everyone. There has to be a happy medium.
