Just read this:
"What businesses can do to stop the danger of overheating laptops caused by lithium batteries going into explosive thermal runaway
Businesses are growing increasingly worried about the risk of company laptops overheating and catching fire.
Millions of people are now working from home since the start of the coronavirus crisis and there is always the danger the lithium ion batteries that power them can go into what’s known as thermal runaway – and if a laptop catches fire then it will give off toxic fumes due to the plastics and chemicals inside.
London Fire Brigade attends on average 24 fires each week that have been started by batteries, chargers or cables.
Telltale signs that a battery is going into thermal runaway is if it hisses or the laptop starts to bulge.
Thermal runaway happens when one cell in a battery overheats it can produce enough heat – up to 900°C (1652°F) – to cause adjacent cells to overheat. This can cause a lithium battery fire to flare repeatedly even to the point of flames shooting out of the side. The fires can be very unpredictable. Even after the fire in the device seems to be out there may be damage to a battery cell that can cause the fire to re-ignite and they can flare up again even 10 minutes later.
Potential causes include manufacturing defects within the lithium battery or cheap lithium batteries and chargers that fail to meet safety standards. In worst case scenarios the flames can set homes and offices on fire."

Bus explodes as garage is engulfed in flames and six vehicles are damaged in the fire
This is the shocking moment a London bus reportedly explodes while the entire depot goes up in flames.
Fire fighters were battling a huge inferno at Metroline bus garage on the High Street in Potters Bar after being called to the scene on the High Street at 2.36pm on Sunday.
A large plume of smoke wafted across the Hertfordshire town after reports of an 'unbelievable noise' which likened to that of an explosion, with some people reporting on Twitter that the smoke could be seen about 11 miles (18km) away in St Albans.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said at least four buses were involved in the fire in the Metroline garage, which are run around London, and was working with police to evacuate the surrounding area. There are no reported injuries.
According to Hertfordshire Live, an unnamed bus driver said that the fire was believed to have been caused by a battery exploding in one of the electric buses while it was charging - but this has not yet been confirmed.
No one was on board any of the buses at the time of the blaze.
The service took more than 70 calls from members of the public about the huge blaze. The A1000 road was shut while fire fighters tackled the flames.
Andy Hopcroft, Herts Deputy Chief Fire Officer, said: 'The service was called to reports of a significant fire at Potters Bar Bus Garage at around 2.30mph this afternoon.
'The first fire engine was on the scene within four minutes where four buses were well alight.

I'd bet first responders and firemen aren't too crazy over electric cars. Accidents happen.
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.
