Agreed. Which is why I rarely go to the movies; most aren't that awesome in the theater.

I do enjoy the Imax or 3D movies. Avatar was a rich experience and so was Gravity.

Overall, however, most movies are fine on a large screen TV with a decent sound bar and woofer.

Top Gun would be good in theater. Bohemian Rhapsody would be another.

The music in Bohemian Rhapsody certainly deserves better than a TV speaker. My wife bought me a sound bar for my 65th birthday. We already had one but I like a really good bass sound and listening to streaming music through my wooferless previous little sound bar wasn't cutting it...although it did help with movies.

The system, a Yamaha YAS-209, is moderately priced and serves me quite well. My only complaint is that it's Alexa connection has a problem with playing Spotify. I like to have the TV news on mute and listen to music through the sound bar, but half the time it won't play Spotify through Alexa. I don't know why. It plays fine through the television Spotify app.

Yes, I watched Bohemian Rhapsody with it. LOL I listen to all DVDs through it.

AMC A-List. Three movies a week, any time, any format. 22 bucks a month. Recliners. Bar in the lobby. There are movies that are fine at home. And there are movies that I much prefer seeing in the theater. So it entirely depends on the movie. Most movies I prefer to see in the theater.

kinda depends on the movie some really are ones you need to see in theater to really appreciate it (Lawrence of arabia for example).

but I'm really too cheap to hit the theater anymore.

maybe we will see if I change my mind when granddaughter is old enough for movies.

I dont even currently have my surround sound system operating and I still mostly would rather watch at home, eating my awesome food, drinking great drinks, smoking great bowls of dope, in what ever clothes I want....or not.

NOTE: If Avatar2 and 3 are good, if I get the idea that they are good, those I will see at the theater, maybe even IMAX. I saw the first one nine times I think.

I agree. And those recliners are awesome. I prefer AMC to Cinemark.

Now that I hear that Top Gun did not get ruined with the WOKE Religion I think I might need to go see it in a theater, maybe even in IMAX.

Maybe I see it in Yelm, and do it again in IMAX if it is amazing.

I am pretty surprised that I have not seen a Top Gun thread....there are so many places that could go.

    Why the lack of interest?
