I like small venues as it allows me to watch the musicians. Being one myself its interesting to see how they play technically.

    How about this?

Charo don't need no stinkin' capo. That's what index fingers are for.

She's one of baddest that's ever been. Trained by Andres Segovia.

Her form and phrasing is perfect. Show me better.

sure, but I also like to see great musicians - and they quickly outgrow the small places.

Alpine Valley in Wisconsin is a fantastic sounding outdoor venue for 45k+ - as I get older that hill gets harder to handle, but still a great place to catch live shows

And sometimes after their heyday they like getting back to smaller venues.
Saw Bert Jansch here in a 4k lovely old theatre. That guy was amazing. Not a singer (saw Leo Kotke at the same place some years back) hard to believe what they could perform live and make it look easy.
