How? Increasing numbers of Hispanic Americans will join. Hispanics are pretty religious and conservative on the whole. They also HATE with a passion the illegals flooding into the country. Joke and the Democrats don't understand that. Their derogatory term for them is "paisa."
Hispanics won't vote Progressive or Leftist. They'll vote against them and are in increasing numbers.
The illegals will have kids and those kids will come around to the same position. The Democrats are ass fucked on this. They think, mistakenly and mostly because they don't interact with this sort (I do regularly), that illegals will embrace Democrat / Progressive values. They won't. They value hard work, religion, and family. They're not big on education so universities aren't going to brainwash them either.
Just today I was at the Thomas and 36th St. Home Depot in Phoenix. It was like a trip to Nogie. Wall-to-wall Hispanics and they had no problem with the occasional Wheto in line for a contractor sale.

And, as Gardner said, Democrats cannot count on the Hispanic vote. Some counties in South Texas along the Mexican border voted for Trump. They do not identify as migrants or Hispanic but white.
As population demographics change so will voting behavior as history has demonstrated (blacks, women, working class, college degree).
