Im torn as he is a local kid made good.

He still has to approve the trade (its in hie contract) and Denver was not one of the teams he had said he would like to play for so I'd hold off on buying that jersey just yet.

That's my point, they just had to pay Peyton, they gave a Hell of a lot for Wilson!

Wilson is far less of a question. He isn't just coming back the NFL after an experimental surgery. Basically, saying either of them is "past their prime" is very likely to end with a "well I guess he wasn't" when the Broncos collect a couple more Championship Rings.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

He gave up on the Seahawks, who either could not or would not build a decent O Line to protect him.

So you're happy with how much they gave up for Wilson?

I said three years ago that there is something deeply broken with the Seahawks. It looks like it might be the coach. The culture is bad.

I have given up all sports but I am not at all surprised that Wilson gave up on Seattle. He is a great guy, I wish him the best.

According to stats, Russell Wilson is the 4th best passing quarterback of all times.

    These are some amazing comparisons...

I really couldn't care any less. I was lying a bit when I said I was excited. I haven't watched NFL in over 4 years now. I didn't even watch the Superbowl this year.
