Default Zelensky says he is not afraid to discuss Ukraine’s neutral status with Russia

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in a video address to the nation on Friday night he was not afraid to discuss with Russia the issue of Ukraine’s neutral status.

"We heard from Moscow today that they want to talk about the neutral status of Ukraine," Zelensky said in the video, posted on his Telegram channel. "We are not afraid of Russia, we are not afraid of engaging in talks with Russia, we are not afraid of discussing anything, such as security guarantees for our state, we are not afraid of talking about neutral status."

The Russian authorities are ready to talk with the Ukrainian leadership, if it is willing to discuss Russia-formulated issues, including Ukraine’s neutral status, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday. When asked to specify whether Russia was now ready to talk with the Ukrainian leadership on this topic, Peskov emphasized: "If the Ukrainian leadership is ready to talk on that."

talk about too late. Biden has refused time after time to even negotiate with Putin on Russia's redlines
Biden dismisses them as unfounded, and instead extremely militarizes Ukraine
basically daring Putin to invade because Ukraine was so tilted towards NATO

Too bad Biden didnt stay the fuck out of all this -it's at least possible the 2 leaders could have gotten past the NATO arrogance and Biden's ineffective sanctions instead of negotiating

    It's not him, per se.

His "advisors" are the same bunch that "masterminded" the Arab Spring debacle, the Benghazi blunder, the assassination of Qaddafi and the destabilization of Libya, the infamous "red line" failure in Syria that sent millions of refugees streaming into Europe, and the rape of Crimea.

The leader is the fall guy. That's bungling "Bloody Hands" Biden right now.

Putin meekly accepted Finland's ascension to NATO, a nation with an 800 mile border with Russia, and right on the doorstep of Vlad's hometown St Petersburg.

This invasion has been planned for years, and is primarily being driven by Kremlin imperialism, NATO was nothing more than an annoyance

Ukraine could become a Russian protectorate- just as many countries became protectorates of the British.

Arab protectorates of the British simply had to pledge not to enter into any agreements with foreign states without discussing them with the British first.

    No NATO for Ukraine, obviously.

What countries are considered U.S. Protectorates?

The following countries are considered as US Protectorates: Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, US Minor Outlying Islands, Guam, American Samoa and Northern Mariana Islands.

A protectorate, in the context of international relations, is a state that is under protection by another state for defence against aggression and other violations of law.[1] It is a dependent territory that enjoys autonomy over most of its internal affairs, while still recognizing the suzerainty of a more powerful sovereign state without being a possession.[2][3][4

Putin 'has been offered surrender terms by the West' as he loses control of Kherson - and 'his cronies have reacted positively because it allows them to stay in power and avoid criminal charges'

lol.. you conflate Finland (which already had a robust defense against invasion)
to Ukraine which is split country oriented to Russia in the east.

You spent years screaming about NATO expansion, but then you and Putin just meekly accepted the ascension of Finland, which is about as far East as NATO has ever gone and is right on the doorstep of Saint Petersburg.

That makes it crystal clear that your and Putin's invasion of Ukraine was never fundamentally about NATO expansion; it was a tangible expression of Kremlin imperialism.
