    Default So now the right wants to dictate how and what kids are taught;

    ”GOP pushes US schools to post all class materials online”

    “Republican state lawmakers across the U.S. are trying to require schools to post all course materials online so parents can review them, part of a broader national push by the GOP for a sweeping parents bill of rights ahead of the midterm congressional elections.”

    “At least one proposal would give parents with no expertise power over curriculum choices. Parents also could file complaints about certain lessons and in some”

    “States considering some version of the idea include Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina and West Virginia.”

    “The Ohio bill would affect public, private and charter schools, as well as colleges and universities that participate in the state’s dual-enrollment program for seventh through 12th graders.”

    https://apnews.com/article/coronavir...5db2b1a20e7754

    Is it any wonder teachers are quitting in droves, and now in addition to the stress of teaching during a pandemic they would have to deal with making sure every wannabe Sarah Palin out there agrees with what and how they teach on a daily basis.

    Amazing part is that all this is already available, teachers have to teach a State Curriculum which is available to anyone, the content isn’t hidden.

    Total political move endangering the education of children just so right wing politicians can pimp education as a campaign issue

    Here is an idea, parents. Ask your kids what they learned in school today. Help them with their homework. Go to school when teachers are meeting with all the parents.

    No anchovies, the right wants the parents to know that their kids are taught. Is that too difficult for you to grasp?

    Appears “earl” is having difficulties processing again, as I said, everything teachers are to teach is laid out ahead of time in the State Curriculum, if these dimwits were really concerned with the content being taught they could review it long before it is introduced in the classroom, but they are too lazy and doing such doesn’t allow their demagogues the ability to pimp education

    Ask your child about their school day

    Find out what their homework is

    Ask your child to engage with you about how they are feeling about their schooling

    Talk to their teachers

    Look at the books they bring home

    Then attend the school board meetings

    Get involved
