Racism continues to be a problem in the US partly because I see both parties seeking to keep racism alive as a wedge issue. While the surface problem is race, the underlying issue is economic; jobs, training, college, local infrastructure, etc.
A hundred years from now there will still be hateful people looking for reasons to hate others. The dumbasses will go for those who look different and are in the minority. Changing minds that don't want to change is impossible so it's stupid to even try.
What We, the People can do is work to improve the education of all Americans, seek to provide equal access to those who desire to work for it. IMO, the main problem in the US is unequal access to opportunities resulting in people being stuck in their economic class thus stratifying the US into the haves and have nots with little opportunity to change.
