Default Why do TalkRadio Wingnuts who hate Secularism choose to live in Lefty Secular Cities?

they always profess their love for the "heartland", and their distaste for the secular liberals and the coasts:

Rush Limbaugh: New York, and Miami Beach
    Sean Hannity: New York
    Ann Coulter: Miami Beach
    Michael Savage: New York
    Glenn Beck: New York

…and no, they don't "have" to be in New York for logistical or business reasons. That excuse won’t work:

Top nationally syndicated liberal talk radio hosts:

-Ed Schultz: lives and broadcasts out of Fargo, North Dakota
-Al Franken: lives and broadcasts in Minneapolis, Minnesota
-Thom Hartmann: lives and broadcasts out of Portland, Oregon

So they have more to complain about. They can read the local papers and use stories from local happenings as fodder for their shows.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

    LOL

Actually, as you know in your heart, they love living in secular, culturally rich liberal communities. They're posers. They're professed love of the heartland, is just a pose for their audience.

You wouldnt catch Ann Coulter dead, living in Kansas City or Fargo North Dakota. They despise the bland-nature, and lack of secular culture in those places.

Whatever. It doesn't matter to me. They aren't rich in culture because they are liberal. There are many cities that are rich in culture that are not liberal.

Why do liberals think that only liberals should live in cities?

My point exactly! I'm sure Kansas city and Omaha has a symphony, some museums, and some high-end cultural activiety.

But, those wingnutters who profess love of "the heartland", of cowboy boots, of "traditional values", and of the simplicity of midwestern life are faking it!

But, its all an act! They love New York and Miami Beach!

Not all cities are liberal, nor does it mean that no conservatives live there if the city is liberal. Sometimes people like to stick around and try to change things.

However, pretending that no conservatives at all live in cities that are largely liberal so you can make fun of Hannity might be fun, but not intellectually honest...

I know. I'm being the fifth wheel. I'll let you guys have your fun after this!

Your horse just smacked his nose into your cart. That's animal cruelty, that is!

City living tends to promote liberal thinking. Cities are generally more "liberal" -- and yes, we're dealing in the vaguest of generalities here -- than are rural and suburban areas. That's just simple demographics.
