What hasn't been said about Trump and his voters over the last five years? No stone unturned in that regard. One of the themes I recall hearing is Republicans having daddy issues and needed a strong man like Trump. That's basically what Charlemagne is hitting on here, saying Biden isn't the strong man Trump is for not calling out Manchin and getting him to do what he wants. (One is free to disagree with that of course but that's the point he is making).
Politics is of course about power and getting people to the polls to vote. It's not like black voters are going to start voting for Republicans in big numbers but the concern here for Democrats is if enough black voters are pissed at Biden and stay home then it could have a material effect on midterms and '24. Thus the concern when people like Charlemagne speak out like this.
