Default Pittsburgh bridge that collapsed wasn't on Biden list for infrastructure law funding

    FRICKIN' DEMOCRATS

The Pittsburgh bridge that collapsed Friday morning ahead of bungling Biden's arrival in the Iron City was known to be compromised and was not scheduled for maintenance via the federal infrastructure bill, according to government records.

The DEMOCRAT-driven disaster left three hospitalized and 10 others injured near Frick Park early Friday morning.

The shitty blue city's 2021 Transportation Improvement program, which was commissioned to allocate federal funds for transportation infrastructure, did not account for the Frick Park bridge.

The bridge was built in 1970. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, which rates bridges on a scale of 0 to 9 — 9 representing the best condition — rated the substructure of the now-collapsed bridge a 6, according to NBC News. The bridge's deck and superstructure had ratings of 4, according to PennDOT.

Bungling Biden stopped by the disaster site Friday afternoon for a photo op with DEMOCRAT Mayor Ed Gainey . It quickly became a symbol of bungling Biden's duplicity and failure. He even used the destruction of the bridge in his rhetoric.

Bungling Biden promised that the bridge infrastructure of the city would be addressed, along with all 43,000 bridges in the U.S.

    Lisp some more.

The bridge was not among the highway and bridge projects targeted for federal funding

Who cares if it is targeted federal funds, or granted federal funds, so long as the repairs are made?

Not Biden's fault. The State diverted the money.

"...the bridge was not mentioned in Pennsylvania’s 2021 transportation improvement plan, which identifies projects in line for federal funding.

A 2019 article quickly began circulating on social media showing that
the state had diverted $4.2 billion
from its transportation department’s program for road and bridge repair and given it to state police."

Repubs don't care about the state Constitution except when they use it as a cudgel in the voting issue.

HARRISBURG – The state has been diverting billions of gas tax money away from road and bridge work to cover the cost of state police patrols, Auditor General Eugene DePasquale said Thursday.

DePasquale said his new audit of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation shows the agency could be further along in repairing rough highways and fixing 2,829 structurally deficient bridges with the billions of dollars it has used instead to pay to the state police.

...Transfers from the Motor License Fund to the state police have totaled more than $4.25 billion since the 2012-13 fiscal year, money that Penn*DOT could otherwise have used to address a growing list of needed repairs across the state.
Under the state Constitution, proceeds from the Motor License Fund are to be used solely for the construction, maintenance and repair of and safety on public highways and bridges."

There are things that Biden can be faulted with but this isn't one of them. The state screwed the pooch unconstitutionally.

They weren't made, Salty Walty. Were they?

Instead, the DEMOCRAT Mayor and the DEMOCRAT Governor did nothing.

    Nor did the DEMOCRAT Commander-in-Thief.

This is what PADOT's SOT was concerned with instead:

    So you say.

I noticed that you dodged the question you were asked.

    Is the Governor a DEMOCRAT?

Of course the guv's a Democrat. And the legislature is majority repug.

"The head of PennDOT is Yassmin Gramian, "who manages PennDOT's annual budget of $9.5 billion, which is invested in all of Pennsylvania's approximately 120,000 miles of state and local highways and 32,000 state and local bridges. Under her leadership, PennDOT is directly responsible for nearly 40,000 miles of highway and roughly 25,400 bridges."

Ergo, Biden had nothing to do with either the bridge collapse or the repair budget. You were wrong.

    Apologize!

He lost in 2020 to the odious Scott Perry. I don't know if he's running again.
