No, I have never read Heinlein. And that is on purpose. I have been pressured to read him by conservatives who had really objectionable ideas. One quoted Heinlein as if he was the Bible. I decided that even if I was just goofing off, my time was better spent than reading what that person wanted me to.Agreed on Trump, disagreed on what Heinlein meant.

I learned my lesson after agreeing to read 'Atlas Shrugged' at the behest of a conservative. That was the biggest waste of time I ever agreed to. First of all, I had no idea how long the book was, and secondly, by the time I got done I was really questioning my own judgement to do that. So despite years of persuasion, I never read Heinlein and I never will. My view is that life is too short to read Heinlein. I can always find better things to do with my time.
Besides. I don't have to read Heinlein. His fans quote him all the time.
