    Default Which should I buy?

Right now, I'm in the process of selecting and buying a new compact backhoe / loader. The two best choices are:

    The John Deere 2025R

    And the Kubota B2601

They're both about $35,000 give or take in cost with a similar features package.

    The Kubota isn't cheaper?

Not particularly due to supply chain issues. There are no used ones on the market to speak of, and both dealers have only a couple in stock atm.

The way it goes right now, it's a good idea to build a bunker and stock up.

I'm looking at a Kubota and it's about $16K For the "smaller than a real backhoe" setup.

    Who's ripping you off?

    I'd add $6-$10K for a Deere.

Or are you getting every attachment possible?

That's without the accessory package I specified. The JD sells baseline for about $16,600.

A kubota with a bucket and lawnmower or bushog should be about $14K-ish.

I'd wait, or maybe look at New Hollands or Allis-Chalmers. Scratch the latter.

Look for a used regular backhoe?

It isn't that expensive if you do it yourself with a few people with backhoes and others.

Can go down two or three floors.
