And I am not talking about 'YouTube' videos.
I am talking about live, online classes with live teachers for the tougher courses.
And 'recorded' videos with instant access to live teachers for questions/assistance...for the simpler/easier ones.
But, the class sizes could be far larger than in a school...saving money.
And the gigantic amounts of money to build/maintain schools would be gone.
Plus, no more busing worries/costs.
No more bullying or school shootings or peer pressure or 'having to fit in' or dress right, etc..
Public schools can be a nightmare for many children for these reasons.
And that is ridiculous.
And ALL of that would end with online classes (as far as school problems are concerned).
I was pretty big and went to generally tame schools - so I was never bullied.
But I bet you millions of children whom do get bullied every year would LOVE an online option.
'About 20% of students ages 12-18 experienced bullying nationwide.'

No.We have severely underfunded schools in much of America, and your response is to cut 10% of their budget.
My solution is for the feds to GET OUT of the public schooling business.
But leave an online backup for those states/municipalities that do not do an adequate job themselves.
BTW - I feel the EXACT same way about welfare.
The Feds should put a welfare center in every major city that offers free shelter/food/bathrooms/basic medical/Wi-Fi to any American who wants it.
It would virtually end the 500,000 homeless Americans problem.
But end all federal welfare funding otherwise (outside of medical)...leave welfare to the states.
And have the fed shelters as a backup.
Save taxpayers $100+ billion dollars per year.
And every American would b e guaranteed food/shelter.
Which they are NOT now.
Sorry...I get carried away with this stuff.

America slowly fading into oblivion? Instead of looking at things from a nitwit micro perspective, consider the overall macro perspective in terms of the reality of it all:
The United States is perceived to be the most powerful country again, and you want to know why? Consider the following reasons why:
The world’s most powerful countries also are the ones that consistently dominate news headlines, preoccupy policymakers and shape global economic patterns. Their foreign policies and military budgets are tracked religiously. When they make a pledge, at least some in the international community trust they will keep it.
The 2021 Best Countries rankings, formed in partnership with BAV Group, a unit of global marketing communications company VMLY&R, and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, are based on a study that surveyed more than 17,000 people from four regions to assess perceptions of 78 countries on 76 different metrics.

We are dominant, especially culturally. Then again, the Roman Empire remained culturally dominant for a thousand years after it ceased to exist.
If we do not have a good education system, we will slowly fade away. It will not be quick, but it will happen. The rest of the world will continue to use American culture, just without it coming from America.
