Default The Democrats Just Had a Big Voting Rights Win

Actually, that would be society, U.S. Constitutional law and Democracy had a big win against the enemy from within. Yet obviously Trumptards with their un-American tunnel vision focusing on the destructive and seditious act of anti-American repukes' efforts to destroy voting rights of society and Democracy from within and anything else of a civilized nature failed to pay attention that their devotion to repuke sewer slime is not a guaranteed win from hell. There is more than one way to get around the filibustering and seditious repuke war on voting rights and Democracy.

For most Democrats, last week was downright depressing. It started with President Biden's impassioned plea to Senators to end the filibuster in order to pass two desperately-needed election protection bills. It ended with Senator Kyrsten Sinema killing that idea in the cradle.

For those who see the threat of a total meltdown of American democracy as very real and very near, it was a body blow. Ranging from deeply frustrated to downright enraged, many assumed that all hope was lost.

    They were wrong.

Yes, losing those bills hurts. And Democrats shouldn't give up on the federal level: The torrent of Republican laws to suppress votes and subvert elections remains a clear and present danger to American democracy, and perhaps to our the ability to hold together the country itself. But for those who were paying attention, there was actually a significantly more hopeful development last week."

Really? Chuckie just got bitch slapped twice on votes in the Senate whacking down his attempt to remove the filibuster and then on the Fuck the Voters act. The Democrats aren't getting their voter fraud bills out of Congress.

The Supreme Court gutted the VRA in 2013, the John Lewis Voting Rights Act is an attempt to right the wrong.

And Schumer was not "bitch-slapped" (whenever a male uses that term I know what's what in their home). The Democratic base demanded our elected officials be put on record.

And now they have been. He did that for us, not for you. No Dem gives one shit what you think.

The wrong was righted when the far left Democrat Socialists were defeated...48-52.

Your own party did not support it.

The VRA is not unconstitutional, what is unconstitutional, is states preventing black people from voting. Depressing turnout by closing polling stations in majority-black districts for one example. The foundation of the VRA is that states do not have the right to prevent people from exercising their constitutional right to vote.

The thing is that you, and nearly every Republican voter know this. I mean, some are too stupid to know what any of this is about. They usually post pictures, instead of using their words.

But most of you know it, and you don't want black people voting because you want to keep the power of the minority. You are jackboots. But how long can the minority rule over the majority? That is the true question.

Which black people can not vote, names...dates of those black people who can not vote in the upcoming November elections?

The radical Democrat Socialists control the House, the Senate and the White House and still could not pass the un-Constitutional VRA.

Your own party kept the bill from passing.

    Get a clue.

States have the Constitutional right to set times and conditions in their local districts.

n June 25, 2013, the United States Supreme Court held that it is unconstitutional to use the coverage formula in Section 4(b) of the Voting Rights Act to determine which jurisdictions are subject to the preclearance requirement of Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act, Shelby County v. Holder, 570 U.S. 529 (2013
    https://www.justice.gov/crt/about-se...0529%20(2013).

that is what was "gutted" from the voting rights act in 2013 and what you say the John Lewis act will put back......

thinking that putting something back which was unconstitutional will still be unconstitutional does not make me a "jackboot"......how long can a minority rule over a majority?.....as long as we remain a nation that uses the electoral system to elect its president.........its worked well for the last 250 years.......

WRONG. It is about usurping State authority. That is unconstitutional.

This is not a democracy. The United States was organized as a federated republic.

Tell me that after you read it. Both HR 1 the Fuck the Voters Act, and HR 3 the John Lewis Voting Reich Act turn US elections into something that any Third World tinpot dictator would be proud of. HR 3 is the more egregious as most of it leaves up to the administration and President how the actual processes would work.

No Democrat gives a shit what anyone thinks so long as they get more power and can entrench themselves in office forever. So, those who voted to gut any modicum of election integrity are now on record as being in favor of actual election fraud big time.

he forgot to actually mention the win in his post, but according to the article he cited the "win" was that an Ohio court rejected the new congressional districts approved by the Republican controlled state legislature.......

What the hell did that have to do with the Senate or the Senate vote? Ohio will just redo their voting districts again, no big deal.
