Default 1/3 of Americans openly hating America…

With about 1/3rd of Americans openly hating America, actively hostile to the rule of law and pushing for a “charismatic” dictator, for the first time in my life, I wonder if democracy will survive, will America as one Nation exist in 10 years?

I think the next three years will decide.

America has always had one third sympathetic to fascism. It is a function of leadership explaining why we need to consciously work to preserve democracy.

Valid question. I think in part it has to do with the overwhelming power of the oligarchy which the Democratic Party embraced. They put out Hillary Clinton even though it is tradition for the VP--Biden--to get the nomination. Hillary, probably the most unpopular politician in America. More to it, but this for now.

Yes, democracy will survive, but there's going to be a lot of dead Trumpers first. Most will die for stupid reasons, but a few because of lead poisoning in the head.

...and a third socialism with only the remaining third willing to live and breathe free.

The first two are indicative of people who need a mommy or daddy to hold their hand for the rest of their lives. Most American colonists left assholes like that behind in the old country.

I suspect there are very few actual socialists in America.

We've seen this on here, as well: we're now talking about a huge anti-democracy movement in America.

And the GOP is becoming an anti-democracy party. They'll have an opportunity in the 2024 race to decide which path they want to take for the future.

I agree, the idea of putting her forward was a mistake. I think Biden was honestly out after his sons death, but there were other better candidates HRC froze out.

So, was fascism caused by Hillary? No. But she represented an entitlement to power many resented. And she represented a party clearly indifferent to the growing power of oligarchy.
