I find it easy to respect McGee. Obviously, you do not find it easy to respect a Black man, no matter how well he served the USA. I guess we are just different.

McGee flew 409 combat missions over three wars (WWII, Korea, and Vietnam). That is incredible.

What did you do again? He has 6,308 military flying hours, have you watched FoxNews for 6,308?

OK, I call bull on this. You are not this stupid, you are just pretending. He was 102 when he died, but not back when he got his wings during WWII. He was 23 when he earned his wings.

McGee served from when he was 22 to when he was 53. He served in combat in three wars, and retired at the end of the Vietnam War.

I wonder how many WWII veterans survived bullets and bombs, fighting for American freedom, only to be taken down by COVID, largely due to insensitive people who through their ambivalence and exercising their 'freedom,' have allowed the disease to spread farther and wider than it ever needed to.

What a way for our nation to thank these brave Americans.

I wonder how many veterans alive today from any war are sure that they were betrayed by our leaders.

McGee was a lieutenant colonel when he was flying missions in Vietnam.

We get it, McGee was Black, so no amount of honorable service will get you to respect him.

McGee was betrayed by America, in that he could not even eat at a lunch counter in many parts of the country that he fought so hard to defend. That being said, he did not dwell on that, just went on to defend America in two other wars.
