Just to prove that climate alarmism is nothing new. Ninety years ago it was 70 degrees in Central Park, NY, there was no snow at Lake Placid, and the 1932 Winter Olympics almost had to be cancelled due to a lack of snow. Oh and the NYT was in the vanguard of climate hysteria.

Skiing is....different.

I don't know a single person who has fractured his/her leg playing golf.

I know that sunburns can be a bitch, but they don't insert screws in you to treat them.

I only know about a half dozen, maybe a dozen, people in my life who are or were skiers.
Every one of them, without exception, has zippers on his/her body. Knee parts are often involved in addition to bone breakages.

You claimed that the global warming "hysteria" has been going on since back when that NYT article was written.

But the article was not about global warming or climate change.

There was no such concept back then.

It was about a spell of unseasonably warm weather.

What it proves is that natural variance is a huge factor in climate change. Climate models are very bad at modelling this as well as the behaviour of clouds, especially the role of cosmic rays in their formation.

As for your weak attempt at levity, it's back to the drawing board for you! You are living on your laurels, like a boxing champ that's had one fight too many.
