    He had a lot of personality.

    Bullies make the strangest sounds...ours included..lol...I should record her one day watching 101 Dalmatians...or The Zoo...her favorites... Anyway, it sounds like he was happy to be a part of your life..and you were happy to have him as a part of yours...
    So thanks for being his dad....

    I have to tell you guys something,...and as Dog lovers I think you will understand. This new dog we adopted is great. playful, great attitude,...just an all around great dog. we love him already. BUT.........The dog who passed away recently,...a bullboxer BTW,....he was just different. It was almost like he was a person in a dogs body. LOL The way he looked at you, how he acted, things he did. We had such a strong connection to him because it was almost like he had a human spirit as silly as it sounds. This new one? Not really like that. He's awesome,....but just doesnt have THAT in him if you can understand. Or...it could just be that we are still mourning our last dog maybe. Either way,...he's still a fantastic dog.

    My wife says that Lord S either just got done being human or is about to be human in a reincarnation sense, because of just that, a personality of a human in a dog. Another thing too, I have been told that at most hounds understand 500 words....I wonder about this theory with Lord S.
    I choose my own words like the Americans of olden times........before this dystopia arrived.

    But this new boy has some pretty neat things that he does as well. He has to go around and check on the three of us individually. Make sure everyone is o.k. Pretty cool how he does it.

    From one of the advocates this morning: "When I Got My New Dog

    I asked for strength that I might rear her perfectly;
    I was given weakness that I might feed her more treats.

    I asked for good health that I might rest easy;
    I was given a “special needs” dog that I might know nurturing.

    I asked for an obedient dog that I might feel proud;
    I was given stubbornness that I might feel humble.

    I asked for compliance that I might feel masterful;
    I was given a clown that I might laugh.

    I asked for a companion that I might not feel lonely;
    I was given a best friend that I would feel loved.

    I got nothing I asked for,
    But everything that I needed.

    (Author unknown)"

    Sounds like mange. If he had a bad case of fleas prior to adopting him the fleas probably deposited a vast number of eggs under the skin. The Vet will probably prescribe a shampoo that will kill the flea eggs under the skin.

    Thanks Mott. Had him in yesterday to get neutered. No mange. They gave us a prescription for allergies we had filled along with antibiotics. we also have a shampoo that helps and some medicated salve. If THAT doesnt work we do blood tests I guess. Hopefully this takes care of it now though....

    Hopefully that clears everything up...We pretty much avoid chicken based food these days....that helped with the one pup's
    "allergy issues"..so we just slowly changed everyone over....
    If they neutered him,he must be doing so much better... YAY!

    He is. He was one hurting unit last night but today he looks and feels like a million bucks. Even the itching seems to have gone away. Fingers crossed...LOL

    There is a shot called Cytopoint which works well.
