Here's what I hope will happen: Trump ramps up a '24 campaign and everyone goes after him. At the last minute, he pulls out of the race and throws his support behind someone like Cruz or DeSantis. Hell, any generic republican will do.

Everyone hates that asshole. If violence breaks out, I wouldn't be surprised if some nutjobs like Squeaky Fromme show up to go after both prominent Righties and Lefties.

FWIW, Cruz isn't going to run for reelection. Maybe he'll be Trump's main cocksucker like Devin. IDK. Cruz abandoned Texans last year and I, for one, haven't forgotten his lies and attempts to line his own pockets at the expense of American voters.

I am actually hoping that Cruz gets the nomination. He is probably more competent than trump... Then again, a rock is more competent than trump. It is nearly impossible to be less competent than trump.

More importantly, I do not think Republicans realize how off putting and nasty Cruz comes off as. They love nastiness, which they take as authenticity. Apparently, they are nasty on the inside, and assume the rest of us are. Most Americans do not want a nasty President.
