El Salvador is the first country to make Bitcoin its currency but there will be many more that follow.

And it did nothing for them.

And you making some guess about other countries adopting it means nothing.

You just hope they do because you own it.

    Obviously.

Why would America EVER allow a currency to flourish whose transactions they cannot rad?
And thus, they cannot know how much to tax people.
Thus, they would lose out on GIGANTIC amount of taxation?

The answer is obviously - they NEVER would.

    Why?
    Because they are not stupid.

El Salvador didn't adopt bitcoin as its currency until September 2021 yet you already declared it a failure.

It was a cordial conversation until you showed up. That may explain why you've been groaned 15 times in one month.

    LOL...hey pal.

You were the one whom started it by accusing me of saying something that I never did.

    I simply corrected you.

And now you are all bent out of shape on it.

    Lighten up, pal.

    Good day.

If you have a foreign bank account, the US Government will not know you have the account, and will not know what transactions happened with the account. If you have a BitCoin account, the US Government will not know you have the account, but they will know all the transactions with that account. Not only will the US Government know, but your 12 year old, nerdy nephew could learn all the transactions for any account in Bitcoins that have ever happened.

In both cases, the government will try to find some connection between you and the account. With Bitcoins, it is easier, because they know all the transactions done by the account.

The major reason for amassing wealth is to spend it on your life. That gives wealth a connection to your life. The government will find that connection, if you are not very, very careful. Part of being very, very careful is not enjoying your wealth.

OR YOU CAN DO THINGS THE LEGAL WAY. The current law is that all American citizens and permanent residents must report all foreign bank accounts and BitCoin accounts. You can have a Swiss bank account, or a BitCoin account, but you have to tell the IRS about it. Many times, no taxes will be owed, but it is still a crime to not tell them. If you want to stay safe, it is always good to overreport.

    No, it's not. It's scrip.

Script is a medium of exchange... So arguing something is not a medium of exchange, but rather script makes no sense.
