I addressed the thieves issue and called for all posters to be more civil, polite, and quit substituting personal insults for substantive debate. It was not bashing Christians but calling for those posters who claim to be Christians to act like it. In most states (except TX) a person cannot use deadly force to protect property. Those guards were probably worried about being charged if they shot the looters. This issue was discussed in the Rittenhouse case regarding his claim that he was going to protect the used car lot property.

You have to read the entire article. As it said, they did not point the guns at anybody which means they did not threaten their lives. You have a right to carry a gun without somebody shooting you. If they shot the looters they may be facing a murder charge.
