When you become a parent, friends, and family offer all sorts of advice, whether solicited or not. From attachment parenting to breastfeeding to “sleep when the baby sleeps,” everyone is filled to the brim with opinions on how you should raise your offspring. As a parent, your job is to take the advice that is relevant to your experience/parenting style and to discard the rest. And the newest entry on top of that discard pile is this bizarre and brazen rant by Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.).

The right-wing congressman appeared in a clip shared by activist group Right Wing Watch, where he railed against parents who “de-masculate young men” because “they don’t want people who are going to stand up.” Cawthorn continued, “All you moms here — the ones who I said are the most vicious in our movement — if you are raising a young man, please raise them to be a monster.”
    Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.).

Yep. Far too many men abandoned their own children . No father figure for the boy to grow up with. Leads to a great many problems down the road.

Like his mom did? Or is he just feeling emasculated because his mom gave him a girl's name? One of my g-daughters is named Madison. lol

The REAL Monsters are the division and distrust of our fellow countrymen. And it was MOSTLY caused by the leftists. THEY did this to our country,....no doubt about it. But we on the right quickly followed suit so we are NO BETTER. Probably even worse,... now. And it is in ALL of US. I see it right here every damn day. And for those of you that say....OH NOT ME!!!...You are full of shit. YES YOU!

Its this....THIS RIGHT HERE,.....it is happening now. We are ALL letting it. From Science fiction to reality.

People who are picked on, made to feel threatened or inferior. I’m ready to acknowledge there are multiple reasons and types but your macho types are less likely to be shooters of this type, IMO.

That would be me as well. I have one of those names, not as bad as Johnny Cash’s “Sue,” but bad enough that I got samples of Midol and Leggs pantyhose as a traumatized teenager.

I don't think anyone gave him pantyhose (they weren't invented yet) or Midol (ditto), but my oldest brother, Lynn, hated his first name too -- for obvious reasons.
