If performing abortion in clinics is outlawed, science and industry may develop a pill that can safely cause an abortion through a later point, or else develop and sell some kind of home abortion device.

Women have been aborting themselves with coat hangers for decades, so I imagine some safer alternative device or instrument could be devised if the Bible thumper idiots and their puppets in the GOP and SCOTUS force it that far.

The answer is simple... abortion pills.

There are multiple safe and effective brands available to women.

One I looked into is called Misoprostol that causes a woman's body to abort a pregnancy.

So let's say the SCOTUS strikes down Roe v Wade but they cannot outlaw abortion outright so they leave it up to individual states. And let's say that they let stand the absurd law that allows people to sue anyone who assistes a woman obtaining an abortion in any way, (which is something I doubt they'll do anyway as it will probably be ruled unconstitutional).

But what will happen in such a scenario?

In my opinion, women in non abortion states will just be able to order any of these abortion pills online, have them delivered through the mail, have their abortion in the privacy of their own homes and there will be nothing anyone can do about it.

Even if steps are taken by Bible thumping rwnj zealots to try to stop or discourage it, or even if nutjobs try to sue companies selling the pills, or states make having an abortion a crime, the operations can be moved to other states where it is legal, or even to other counries where the US civil code has no jurisdiction.

Long and short of it.... abortions will continue unabated and unhindered, even if the out of control right does everything they can to try to stop it. Thanks to the rwnj fundie Bible nitwits, the number of abortions in this country will probably INCREASE substantially rather than decrease or go away.

Before long, having an abortion will be similar to taking a shit. Women will take a pill, sit on the toilet dump the unwanted glob of cells and flush it down the sewer.

    Nice work, MORONS!!!!

    Dumbasses.
Well. I must say that this is a highly emotional, highly lurid, and pretty much very accurate picture of pharmaceutical abortifacients. One reason that the abortion rate in the U.S. has fallen since 1973 (RvW) is the access to these pills, along with the freer access to contraceptives.

It is interesting that the Religious Types are in support of Big Government interfering in a Citizen's Personal Life.
It's okay if that person is a "sinner," which is defined as any woman who gets knocked up and isn't married.

Allow me to put in touch with reality. The legal limit is in most of Europe for abortions is 12 weeks. The vast majority of procedures are carried out in n the first trimester.

The problem is the later in the pregnancy the higher the chance of retained tissue and very significant uterine bleeding. Also only a certain amount will fit through the cervix without dilation of the cervix. If tissue is retained it will lead to infection and possible death.

Oh STFU! You murder a million sperm cells shot out onto your keyboard left there to die every night WANKER! JACKY!

Do you want women telling you that's wrong and make a law against that?

You just want to control women- and have no more respect for women than mere incubatory baby factories and glory holes for yourself!

We know what will cut abortions. it is easily available contraception and sex education. The right is against them because the real point is about controlling women. It is about imposing their religious values on them.
